  1. Snakeye   A high-drag version of the Mk82 bomb.

  9. spoiler    A long, narrow hinged or retractable plate that extends along the
  10.     upper surface of an airplane wing and that may be raised above the
  11.     surface to reducing the lift of the wing and increase its drag.
  12. spot the deck   To look at the deck rather than the "ball" during landing on
  13.     an aircraft carrier.
  14. SRAM   Short-Range Attack Missile.
  15. stall   A loss of control of an aircraft due to low airspeed or radical
  16.    maneuvering in high altitudes.
  17. stall speed   The maximum speed at which an aircraft will stall.
  18. starboard   The right-hand side of a ship or aircraft.
  19. stealth  See  low observable technology.
  20. stern   The rear part of a ship.
